Undergraduate Architecture
Architectural education changes your mind … and the world. It does so indirectly, through the hands of the students who become professionals who imagine, envision, design, and build the environment that we live in.
Our students have the flexibility to pursue study in other fields and also acquire a rigorous design education. The curriculum is centered around the design studio where small groups of students and a faculty member work together on design projects that employ a "learn by doing" methodology. In this sense, learning to be an architect is like learning a sport or a musical instrument; it requires a coach and practice.
Studying architecture prepares you to be a flexible thinker, to find creative solutions to a wide variety of challenges. Here you learn to evaluate, organize, and refine ideas, developing skills that apply in art, business, science, technology, social studies, literature, and the environment.
